Safeguarding and Child Protection Skills

safeguarding-child-protection-skills

The Children Acts of 1989 and 2004 place a duty on all organisations who have the responsibility to work with young people to ensure the safeguarding of children in their area. Whilst local authorities play a lead role, safeguarding children and protecting them from harm is everyone’s responsibility. Everyone who comes into contact with children and families has a significant role to play in safeguarding children. The course also covers the statutory requirements set out in the government guidance ‘Working together to safeguard children’ published in 2015. A thorough grounding in child protection skills is therefore vital for anyone whose role directly involves child protection, and useful for everyone working in close contact with children.

Course rating

I have taken lots and lots of e-courses through work and this is the best by far that I have accessed with much more relevant information and the test at the end being more thorough than is normal. I thoroughly enjoyed the course. Thanks.
