Autism training

Autism affects over 700,000 people and impacts on 2.8M families in the UK. 1 in every 100 children is autistic, over 70% of those will be educated in mainstream schools with significant numbers in the care of the local authority.

Outcomes for autistic children can be very poor if not given appropriate support. Parents and carers have a key role to play in enabling autistic children to thrive.

This course enables learners to understand autism and how it affects the child they live with and provides a clear structure to meet the specific needs of an individual child.
