Bereavement training
According to a leading child bereavement charity, 24,000 children and adolescents are bereaved of a parent in the UK every year.
Loss is one of many harsh realities of life and it invariably turns our world upside down. This course aims to help you to reflect on children and adolescents’ experiences of bereavement or the loss of any significant relationships in their lives through separation.
It will also give you some ideas on how you can best support a child or adolescent in your care who has endured a bereavement or separation.
This course will help learners to understand how to support a child through grief and loss. It covers the different development stages of understanding bereavement and loss, which will enable learners to help and support children to understand and deal with their feelings.
