Play Therapy training

This course enables learners to understand how they can support children and young people to reduce a more general difficulty such as anxiety or aggression or to work through something specific such as changed behaviour due to a bereavement or traumatic experience.

Play therapy can be used to help children cope with difficult life events, trauma and attachment problems, communication difficulties, behavioural and emotional problems and social skills.

Play therapy helps children understand and clarify disturbing or frightening feelings and upsetting events that they haven’t had the opportunity to sort out for themselves in their minds.
