  • The potential short-term and longer term consequences of making and sharing intimate selfies.
  • About the laws regarding appropriate and inappropriate content that protect children and help to keep them safe.
  • How to initiate preventative conversations at home to help young people enjoy social media safely.
  • How to use parental security settings and set boundaries to help reduce risks.
  • How to report inappropriate content and where to get help and support.

This Social Media, Selfies & Sexting course has been designed specifically for people who want to know more about the impact and potential risks of using social media and how it can effect young people's lives.Whilst it provides focus for people working in Children's Services, it will also be useful to a wider audience of people who would like to know more about social media platforms and the potential consequences of their misuse.We can deliver this course either: online, as a webinar, or as a face-to-face programme.
