Parent/Child Attachment Play
This programme is designed to give parents and carers the confidence to use reflective functioning to improve communication with their children. The course employs similar strategies to those used by play therapists, but they have been adapted to suit the family home dynamic.
Consisting of six two-hour virtual sessions, the programme aims to empower parents and/or carers to become experts and change agents in their own families. Attendees will learn the importance of adopting an ‘inside out’ process that focuses on relationship quality and internal motivation rather than behaviour modification. The programme also teaches parents and carers how to use reflective functioning to bridge any relational gaps in parental history.
With a focus on learning through playfulness, curiosity and supported practice, this course equips participants with the communication tools they need to help children reach their full potential.

Reviews
“The course opens your mind as to what can be done to support the adults I work with. It has given me a greater depth of understanding of my role. I feel much more confident working with outside agencies and knowing more about the theory. I can see the difference it is making.” (Kent County Council)
