Terms & Conditions of use – Attachment + Trauma Programme

Definitions

  1. AC Education is a supplier of online learning solutions providing online resources (the “Programmes”) to individual learners (“the Learners”)

studying vocational courses.

  1. The customer: The organisation purchasing the right to use our short course programme
  2. Training Administrator : The individual(s) authorised to access our Secure Online Learning Administration (SOLA) system on behalf of the customer
  3. CourseProvider : The organisation responsible for course material for a specific online course, details of which are provided on the AC Education website

Changes to terms and conditions

  1. These Terms and Conditions of use may be changed by AC Education as and when such changes are deemed necessary and appropriate
  2. Revised Terms and Conditions will be communicated to customers in writing and made available on the AC Education website

Your responsibilities

  1. To enrol learners appropriately, bearing in mind: Equality of opportunity; b. Limitations as well as the opportunities of online learning. Learners should have or be able to acquire basic computer skills. Leaners should have adequate English literacy skills to read simple text and complete multiple choice tests.
  2. To make learners aware of the information about them which will included in AC Education reporting of learner activity
  3. To ensure AC Education have up to date details of the Training

Administrator

  1. To ensure that Training Administrators keep their username and password confidential at all times to maintain security
  2. To ensure the Training Administrators enter learner information and allocate courses accurately
  3. To record in the SOLA system only such personal information as is required to set up and administer learners online training accounts
  4. To ensure uploaded documents for learners are correct and current
  5. To ensure learners are informed in advance of termination of access due to annual licence expiry

Our Responsibilities

  1. AC Education will provide all learners with online information on health and safety issues related to studying an AC Education course online
  2. AC Education will work with the course providers to ensure that all course material is of high quality, relevant and up to
  3. AC Education will conduct regular assessments of the quality of the course, content and supporting materials through a full annual review, analysis or customer feedback and statistical reporting or monitoring
  4. AC Education will provide administrative and technical support to Training Administrators by telephone and email and will ensure that all queries are dealt with within two working days
  5. AC Education technical support is limited to the proper use and functioning of the SOLA system and the online courses

Booking and Invoicing 

  1. On the selected start date, which should not be no later than 2 months after the date of booking, AC Education will provide the Training Administrator with: Username and password; b. A Training Administrator handbook in PDF Format; c. A copy of the learner handbook in PDF format
  2. On receipt of an online renewal request from the purchasing organisation, AC Education will: Issue an invoice for the annual licence purchased; b. Provide confirmation of the new annual licence level and expiry date

Annual Licences

  1. Your annual licence will expire 12 months after the date on which the Training Administrator is provided with access to the SOLA
  2. Your annual licence allows the allocation of one full length ‘Supporting Pupils with Attachment Disorder in Education Course’ and 25 allocated places on ‘Introduction to Supporting Children with Attachment Disorders in Education’ within your school only.
  3. If you reach your maximum limit of course place allocations before your annual licence expires, you will have the option ofaddingadditionalplaces

The SOLA system

  1. The Training Administrator can access the SOLA system online with their unique username and password
  2. The training administrator will have access to their account until theannual licence expires and is not renewed
  1. The SOLA system allows the training administrator to: Upload supporting documents to be available to learners via the website; b. Set up learner accounts and assign them to specific departments; c. Allocate places on specific courses to individual learners; d. Access on-demand reports showing for each registered learner: i. their last login date;  ii. Their course status for allocated courses;  iii. their completion date(s) where relevant.  e. Access learner’s completion certificates and development logs. f. Change the Training Administrator details.  g. Set up and edit sub-administrator accounts responsible for a subsection of learners, these sub-administrators themselves having administrative functions as laid out in parts c to e above.

Learner’s accounts

  1. Learners will have access to their account until  the annual licence expires and is not renewed
  2. Learners will have access to any course materials for which they have been allocated a place until they either pass or fail the course or until the annual licence expires and is not renewed
  3. Learners pass a course by completing a multiple choice assessment quiz online and are given three attempts to complete each assessment correctly, and on the third attempt are deemed to have failed the course
  4. Learners who have failed a course may re-take it if they are assigned a further course place by the Training Administrator

Supporting Materials

  1. Learners may have access to a wordbook in PDF format for each course on which they have been allocated a place
  2. When they complete each course, learners will have access to a completion certificate in PDF format and a development log in PDF format
  3. Administrative users will also be able to access workbooks, completion certificates and development logs via the SOLA

Resource Books 

  1. Some of the online courses may include access to a resource book in PDF format via the online training system
  2. Where this is the case: Learners may save up to two copies of the PDF to a local hard drive or other forms of date storage; b. Learners may print one copy of the PDF for their own reference
